I recently stopped by New York Fries at Gateway to Niagara and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making my visit pleasant from start to finish. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, providing a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy my meal. I ordered the classic poutine, and it exceeded my expectations. The fries were perfectly crispy, the gravy rich and flavorful, and the cheese curds melted just right. It's evident they use quality ingredients and take pride in their food preparation. I'm a big fan of New York Fries but this location isn't it... quality seems to have dropped off in the past couple of years and my #1 pulled pork poutine was pulled from the menu.
They have cut back on ingredients. Not good value or quality. This place used to be very good but they have raised their prices, and cut down on the cheese and fresh vegetables they give you to save costs. Not good, won't be going back anytime soon. Thank you
If i could give no stars i would. Really bad customer service. The guy at the counter didnt even say anything to us just stood there while we placed our order and then he went on his phone. Our food had barely any cheese and gravy. It was horrible. There was no manager we could talk to. As we sat and ate he stood on his phone texting the entire time. Very disapointed will not get from this new york fries again.
Had dinner with family here. Fries and dogs were as good as always. Tried a pulled pork poutine - it was just okay. Spent $30 on 3 dogs, large fries and pulled pork poutine, along with a medium soft drink and bottle of juice. Seemed a little expensive. Still enjoyed it though! Lots of room for the kids to run around after being stuck on the road for a few hours. Lots of food options as well. And nicely situated just off the highway.
