I took a guest down to Niagara Falls and we pass by to Cibo Osteria. The restaurant caught our eye because of how peaceful and nice it looked!- The customer service was welcoming, we were served by a waitress named Denise, and she made our experience even better. The pizza was one of the best I've had, it was both flavorful and crispy. the chicken, soft and juicy. The interior gave us a trip back in time but it was also very clean.We heard that on the weekend there was also a band that plays there, but we missed the chance to see them, But since we enjoyed it so much we will be glad to go again!
ZERO stars if it would allow...Worst experience ever. My girlfriend and I (who is local to Grimsby) decided to have dinner after a day of wine tasting in the Beamsville area and heard about Cibo Restaurant. We were excited to enjoy an italian style dinner. Unfortunately, the food and service was extremely subpar! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and asked for the grilled chicken breast to be added, my girlfriend ordered the gnocchi primavera. The food came fast, within 10 minutes however, my chicken could NOT even be cut with a knife it was so hard, it was definitely not grilled and the fettuccine sauce tasted like sugar and cream. When we were asked 30 minutes into our meal how things were tasting, I was honest, and told our waitress that I unfortunately was not enjoying the food and could not eat anymore and would not like it to go. My girlfriend also expressed that her meal was not enjoyable and under cooked. The waitress then said "I really don't care what you think, do you want it to go or not?" Horrible customer service, and to make things worse, no compensation was ordered except a dessert out of the cold storage casing in the entryway where the waitress said "well, since you already started eating I can't offer you any other compensation... do you have a dog that would want the food" Absolutely RIDICULOUS service. Do NOT eat here. Terrible customer service and even worse food!!
I think a lot of low star reviews are quite frankly lies. Just left and had a wonderful experience. Great portion sizes, charming service. Had the veal, it was so tender it was falling off my fork. Amazing.
We sat on the patio under a beautiful maple tree. My husband has the onion soup and I had the Caesar salad. Both were wonderful! I particularly appreciated that the salad wasn't drowning in dressing. We both had the trout which was the fish special and it was also fabulous. Great service as well. Had a peak inside and the dining rooms inside this renovated old house are cozy upscale. We just moved to Grimsby and look forward to going back many times!
We ate on the patio. It was perfect weather for a dinner on the patio. Our server was very friendly and we were offered drinks right away. We all enjoyed our meals and the servers here are very attentive. They don't just walk away and forget about you (like I have seen at other restaurants)....you have your drink within 2 minutes of sitting down, they ask you how your food is, they ask whether you need more drinks at appropriate times, and they are very pleasant to talk to. They seem to really enjoy working there. The food arrived piping hot and tasted great. We had a really nice time there and will definitely be going back.
