We have our work meetings there every once in awhile usually once or twice annually it's a pretty good place I guess never stayed there or anyting other than that good hosting.
Lady at the check in was very rude and short with me. Yes, we ended up at the wrong hotel but there was no need to get irritated, but it was fine found the right hotel and everyone was very kind....
Stayed here while visiting Canada from the US. Great location only 30 minutes from Niagara and about 45-60 minutes to Toronto depending on traffic. Excellent price and great service. Luggage carts at the front door. They do have an elevator. Rooms are fine and I found nothing concerning other than the need for very minor repairs here or there. There is a small beach on Lake Ontario about 2-3 minutes drive away which is a great place to relax or walk a dog. Would stay again!
Staff were nice and check in was easy. Room was generally clean but not spotless. Breakfast is included but is really basic. There aren't a tonne of choices in Grimsby so this still might be your best bet.
Second time staying here, will likely be the last. Positives are the indoor pool, free breakfast bar, clean modern rooms. Negatives, for me at least. The location faces a busy highway (QEW). Upon check in asked if possible to move to a room not facing highway since my last experience in that location was a lot of road noise and very little sleep. Her response- Since booking was made through "travel site", basically a rude resounding NO, even though the hotel was no where near capacity. Secondly asked for a late check out so I could possibly sleep in.Again zero helpfulness. Was told I had to ask the morning person behind the desk.Also note there is a ton of construction going on which isn't their fault but I would at least expect in light of that the rates would be lower.
