Exceedingly disappointing. Tried ordering from Dani Sushi in Beamsville - too busy - not taking any further orders. Went "to the other closest place" and it was Do Eat Sushi. Ordered the 42 pieces box - website states - comes with Miso Soup and Salad. I go pick it up at the appointed hour. It's on a bench - not refrigerated - ,(no idea if it's been there for 2 minutes or 30 minutes. (But really - raw fish - likely should be refrigerated. Ask if soups and salads were in package. "It doesn't come with that" I offer that the website states what I've said. "You can buy the if you like!" I suggest he looks at website to check - he chooses to show me a paper flyer. Not a big deal - not happy though. I called to get email for complaint - complaint sent - VERY quick turnaround for response - offered a gift certificate for the issue and they will look into website. Owner is genuinely helpful. Then I try the food. Rice is dry - breaking appart. So dry that a grain of rice lodged in my thought and I coffed for 4 minutes trying to dislodge it. I won't be back - even the the management was quick to respond. Sorry.
Absolutely disgusting, do not serve raw fish if it's not going to be fresh. Also has countless food inspection violations just Google "food inspector do eat sushi" and you'll see the list
Ordered 4 individual spring rolls on the iPad in the restaurant, got charged for 4 orders of 6 spring rolls...that's a $20 overcharge! Ridiculous. And should have been caught by the server but he could care less about his job. Also, the chicken in the chicken teriyaki rolls was crunchy. Won't go back.
Food: ok. Price: not ok. Service: terrible Cleanest: terrible. Other: the cook sleeping on one of the booths without shoes! It was my last option for sushi on my way home for my wife.
Worst chinese food I have ever had. Everything was over cooked, food was cold from the get go. Some of the food was not the way it was described. Horrible. Never again
I used to live in the GTA and had access to some fantastic sushi places. There were well known places that were absolute dumps, run down dirty looking but the food was outstanding so everyone overlooked the state of these places. This is not one of those places. I had previously had take out from here 2 previous times and the food was meh, mostly not fresh tasting fish. I really wanted to like this place because it's the closest Japanese restaurant to me. But after my in dining experience I won't be going back. Like previous reviews stated the place is run down. The front area which is the first thing you see is not accessible to diners because the booths and seats are loaded with stuff. The iPad I got to use to order had loads of gross dried food all over it. After closer inspection the tables were all wiped down with a very dirty rag as you could see the water streaks left behind. As far as food went the tuna sushi I got was old or freezer burned. It had a slightly dirty taste which may not be rotten but it's not fresh. The salmon sushi I got right along with it was perfect. The rice in all the things I ordered was cooked perfectly. The edemame was ok but had too much salt. The terryaki eggplant had a weird texture the skin was tough and the meat was complete mush. The terryaki chicken was pretty good, the tuna and avocado Maki was decent. The hot and sour soup was great. The wait staff was quick and efficient but don't come across as friendly no smilies etc. which when mixed with the atmosphere it makes you feel unwelcome. The food here is mediocre and the state of the place tips this place into the not going back. I paid 31 for an all you can each lunch and it just wasn't worth it. If the place was clean and staff was friendlier I would probably give it another try but this just is not one of those places that has outstanding food that would let you overlook the dump this place is.
I have to thank the amazing staff! Last night a Skip the Dishes driver screwed up and didn't pick up my order, I instead tried to deliver something else whickni knew was wrong right away as my order is the same every week. Skip would to nothing and staff from the store at the end of the night took it upon themselves to get my order to me in the snkw. My regret was I had no cash to tip them. While I always thoroughly love the food ths level of service is above an beyond. Thank you to however at the restaurant stepped out and delivered my food a d made my night.
