I love to support local! Local produce, baking, meat, preserves etc etc! Best pies and scones in town! Fresh local produce and organic meat and cheese. I love this market and highly recommend you visit!
The freshest fruit and vegetables you can find. All other items are very high quality as well. The best sourdough bread made fresh at the store. Staff are always nice and helpful. So happy I found this gem!
This is my favourite place to get local produce, the best meats and cheese, and of course pie. From time to time they have a banana bread that will blow your socks off!
Their pies are out of this world! Thank goodness they have a stall at the Humber Bay Shores Farmer's Market. The Apple Maple pie is a must, made in a Dutch apple pie style.
Although our experience was largely positive, this is a cautionary tale about problematic peach pies. To start with the good: we bought delicious fresh peaches, wonderful Kitchener-made chickpea pasta, and some beautiful produce. Now for the less-good: the peach pie, which was to be the star, was a huge disappointment. For $25 a pie, I expect more than a soggy bottom crust and a peach-filling explosion. To be fair, I should have opened the pastry box to check that all was well within, but I've never seen a pie filling explode. This was caused by an excess of moisture in the pie, as the top crust was properly vented. Peach pies do tend to be very moist, but a commercial operation should have solved this issue. The flavour was good, yet would have benefited from the addition of cinnamon and ginger. Peach pie buyers please take note.
This is the 3th year I'm going to Sun-Ray Orchards market and I love it ! Fresh Ontario grouwn fruits and veggies are really really good. Specially peaches ! Btw next weekend I have to go there again for fruits ! It's summer and you people should go there and taste the greatness of Ontario products . Ohh I forget the pies . Just buy one and try !
