Please ensure you find out your rights and get everything in writing. Debbie in discharge does her job - getting people out of the hospital. She lied to our faces & has put my father in a horrible situation. There is a serious disconnect between the hospital & CCAC. Sad what she did to my Family & I wonder how many other families she lied to. Do your research and get her empty promises in writing before you sign a discharge!!!!

I am very mediocre about this hospital because they have done good with myself and my family in the past, but then I've also had some very bad experiences here as well which goes for me. I have had them save my daughter's life when she was 8 months old, my life, my one son's life when he was 6 weeks old and so on. I've also had them send me away, flake me off, be rude and demanding as well as degrading to me as well. But how many times they have saved lives in my family definitely outweighs the bad for at least me. I agree with others that this hospital needs to be upgraded and staff can be less then nice, but at the same time I have seen over and over again how the staff has been treated not only by patients, but by other staff and volunteers which is completely ridiculous like I said previously. Trust me I have also had bad experiences here, but I also learned from every one of my experiences here and now when making the call to go to the emergency I chose what best works for my family. If it's one of those things that's not really an emergency, but can't wait until the Monday morning when my doctors office opens I'll go to Grimsby. If it's really serious then it's either McMaster for my kids as if it's bad enough they'll be transferred there anyways so I skip the middleman and if not I go to St Catharines. I hope this gives people a little more insight and understanding that this hospital in not equipped with what Hamilton or St Catharines is so I would more use it as a non emergency, but can't wait until Monday hospital.

This hospital has to be shut down. After every complaint, I still can't believe how Grimsby still hasn't shut down this dark hole and rebuild a better Healthcare. After the horrible experience at this hospital like hundreds of others, PLEASE if you need help, go either to Hamilton or St Catharines.

This hospital is an absolute island time in Grimsby is a growing community in this hospital needs to be shut down. Just had three people in front of me for three hours in emergency one was up till two were allergies or cold. My knee was double the size and my thigh started to swell Up and my shorts are now hugging my thigh. Driving to Hamilton avoid this hospital at every possible way .

People rave about how good it is to deliver a baby here. It's awful. The rooms are tiny, and there's 1 bathroom and shower down the hall for all the new Moms to share. Worst of all they don't have the facilities or resources to take care of anything serious if something goes wrong before, during or after the delivery. That's not a risk we will take again. Go to St. Catherines. They have large rooms WITH a private attached bathroom and shower. They have a ready and equipped operating room ON the maternity floor for emergencies. They are properly equipped to handle everything. Grimsby hospital should be closed.
