This was the best cherry picking experience I have ever had. The lovely couple were so kind and welcoming. We saw barn swallows and picked 7 litres of cherries. I would recommend 1000%. Be warned there are no washrooms on premises. There are handwashing facilities on site. My children loved the swing. The cherries are the most delicious I’ve had. Thank you so very much for sharing your agricultural passion with us during our visit.
The best sweet and sour cherries we’ve ever had, so fresh and flavorful! The lady who helped us was super sweet and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!
We went to pick cherries, but unfortunately, the attitude of the staff — especially the elder lady — was very disappointing. We asked if we could taste a cherry before filling our basket, and she responded sharply, saying, “This is my farm, and I run it for profit,” in a very rude manner. She could have easily conveyed this politely, but instead chose not to. Perhaps seeing people who are not Caucasian makes some individuals behave this way. In any case, we decided to leave and do not recommend this farm to anyone. Most farms allow visitors to taste while they pick and pay for what they take home. Even if a farm prefers not to allow sampling, that’s perfectly fine — but the least we expect is kindness and respect. Some people have migrated here in the past 20 years, others in the 1930s or 1940s, but the beauty of my Canada is that we are known for being polite and helpful to each other.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited Smith Two Century Farms for a cherry picking adventure, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The farm is well-maintained and beautiful, with rows upon rows of lush cherry trees. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with all the tools we needed and giving us tips on the best cherries to pick. The cherries were delicious—sweet, juicy, and plentiful. It was such a joy to walk through the orchard, pick our own fruit, and enjoy the fresh air. There were also plenty of shaded areas to take a break and enjoy a picnic, which was a lovely touch. Overall, I highly recommend for a fun and memorable outing. Whether you're with family, friends, or even solo, it's a great place to connect with nature and enjoy some of the best cherries you'll ever taste. We will definitely be back next year! ---
We visited the farm for the first time in about 3 years today, with the sole intention of making sour cherry jam this weekend. A man gave us a 4L basket and directed us off to the right of the tents and said “it’s all sour cherries that way.” When we came back and it was time to pay, the woman said we’d picked sweet cherries and said it would be an additional $10. We explained the man who had helped us when we arrived had told us the opposite and we did not want to pick sweet cherries today, that we had only picked sours for our jam recipe. She said well, you can use sweet cherries for jam too, and again said the basket would be $45. She even laughed at us and said maybe she should have some of each available at the tent for people to look at so they don’t make the same mistake. Such a rip off to charge extra at the end of picking. If we had in fact picked the wrong cherries, it was an error on their staff’s behalf for directing us wrong. We ended up with a basket of either extremely red and under ripe sweet cherries (thanks for that…) or in fact a basket of the sour cherries we went to pick! We will find another, more honest farm next season. Buyer beware...
I am disappointed on the amount of their price increase. Have been coming here for over 10 years - not sure if I would consider this place again as my first Choice. However great staff very friendly. $35 for 4L is insane
