I visit this bakery fairly regularly to buy lasagna for my kids especially on rough days for a quick dinner, and despite repeatedly having unpleasant interactions, I kept giving it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, today was the final straw. The lady behind the counter has consistently been rude and unwelcoming, and her demeanor often feels condescending. Customer service matters, especially for a place that relies on repeat customers, and this experience has been disappointing time and again. Adding to this, the bakery is quite overpriced for what it offers, which makes the poor service even harder to overlook. Perhaps once there is a change in staff, I might consider visiting again. Until then, I cannot recommend this place.
Beautiful little bakery that I couldn't be happier I stumbled on. Service is ALWAYS above and beyond, and while the food can be a little pricey, you're paying for deliciousness!! Fantastic business, love them. I can't enjoy anyone else's cinnamon buns anymore! :P
Extremely overpriced, poor quality frozen food. I wanted to like this place, I really did, but over the last year or two the prices have skyrocketed. It doesn't seem like there is anything baked fresh in this 'bakery'. Everything is frozen or resold from another place. I feel like I can go to Sobeys and get the exact same crap things at a fraction of the price. Last time I went to pick up deserts for a friend's get together, and not only did I spend 40 dollars on just a few items that looked like I had picked these up as an afterthought, everything tasted sooo stale. It's like they have been frozen for a year and are now defrosted and sold..for 10 bucks a piece. So embarrassing.
Can someone please explain how come when we ordered 2 cinnamon Bun of $6.99 each, the bill comes to $17.79. When we asked the lady at the counter why are we being charged for 1 Large Hot beverage when we havent ordered for it, she said because she warmed up the buns and gave us one cutlery, she has to charge for it and since there was no other head, she charged it under Hot beverage. This is cheating beyond any measure. The Cinnamon buns was good but we should have paid 6.99×2- total $14 as there is not supposed to be any taxes on bakery items. Instead we paid 17.99, almost $4 extra because we chose to have it warmed slightly and took disposable fork and knife to eat it with. This is outrageously expensive and illegal.
Super disappointed with the service today. Walked in and bought 8 arancini and after realized I just spent $25 on the tiniest arancini I’ve ever seen in my life. I quickly turned around and said I actually changed my mind, sister of the owner gave me terrible attitude immediately and refused to let me do a return/refund. I understand the food would be thrown out but if a customer is unhappy wouldn’t it be a good idea to try and fix the situation instead of giving me attitude? I would come here all the time for coffee and pastries…needless to say they lost me and my family as customers. Good luck!
Updating this post!!!!! Life is busy and sometimes you forget to go to your favourite place for sweets. Well apart from what I wrote before (see below), I purchased a Red Velvet Cheese Cake yesterday and it was THE BEST. Honestly the best of two worlds Red Velvet cake with cheesecake.. a must for a special occasion and a treat for whenever!! We just stopped by to purchase 6 bakery items and then decided to have a cappuccino and an espresso, Well what a great decision! Our coffees were perfect and our sweets were perfection! If anyone wants to have a truly authentic tiramisu this is the place to get it. The cannoli was made fresh while we were waiting . Next time we go I will take a photo!
You will regret going to this place, it is not a bakery but more of a reseller with most of the items defrosted. The individual who might be the owner does not know what she is selling - and she has not sense of customer service. The 4.7 avg rating might have been inflated by not reviews! Don’t go! Edit post the owners response - what are you referring to Asking me to leave the store - you are definitely confusing me with someone else. But definitely is a testament to the horrible service you offer! Never again
